Discover the incredible marine ecosystem of the Ballestas Islands in Paracas with Excursions In Peru. You’ll be impressed by the large geoglyph called “The Candelabro,” a marvelous design located on the north coast of the peninsula in Paracas Bay. Later, on the Ballestas Islands, we’ll visit the famous sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and numerous species of migratory birds that inhabit this natural paradise made up of three marvelous island and islet formations.

Tourists are not allowed to disembark on these islands to avoid disturbing the animals, but boats get close enough to enjoy their beauty.

Itinerary

08:40 AM Our short tour Excursions Islas Ballestas, will begin with pickup at the San Martín Port Terminal. Our official guide will be waiting for you at the San Martín Port Terminal dock, where cruise ships arrive. They will be holding a sign with your first and last name or the name of the Excursions In Peru agency.

9:00 AM Upon arrival, our official guide will escort you to our vehicle to begin your tour. The drive from the port terminal to the Paracas district takes 25 minutes.

9:30 AM Upon arrival in the Paracas district, you may use the restrooms at our main office. We will then transfer you to the tourist pier to begin our tour to the Ballestas Islands.

09:30 AM- 11:30 AM TOUR BALLESTAS ISLANDS

You will board a speedboat where you will be provided with life jackets, and the adventure begins.
We will sail along the coast of the Paracas Peninsula where you will discover the mysterious geoglyph known as the Candelabro, where the guide will explain its theory.
We will then visit a group of islands and islets with 20-30 meter rock formations, one of which is known as the Profile of Christ and the Arch of Desire.
The resting area for birds such as the zarcillos, the pelican, the guanay, the booby, etc.
You will visit the maternity area where you will see the beautiful sea lions and Humboldt penguins, and you will also have free time and the best angles for amazing photographs.
After 2 hours at sea, this incredible adventure ends and you will return to the pier.

12:00 PM Our service ends with the transfer to the San Martin Port Terminal

Recomendations

The use of sunscreen, sunglasses, binoculars, a hat, and comfortable clothing is recommended (bring jackets because of the cold at sea).

Restrictions

Child less than 01 year cannot visit the Ballestas Islands by regulations of the Navy authorities.
Child under 04 years of age pays his seat (They don’t pay tourist taxes) by regulation of the Navy authorities.
Children from 05 years pay their seat and tourist taxes.
