Afterwards, we will begin our tour of Huacachina.
Huacachina is a desert oasis and a small village west of the city of Ica. There, we can find and observe a green lagoon called Huacachina, surrounded by palm trees. Buggies travel through the high, rolling dunes surrounding the village, formed by the Paracas winds on this part of the Peruvian coast. And, last but not least, the Huacachina Lagoon.
This attraction is an oasis, located 4 kilometers from Ica, amidst the sand dunes.
The warm year-round climate and the healing power attributed to its waters (once rich in sulfur and salt substances) made Huacachina one of the most important and exclusive Peruvian spas around 1960.
