Discover the incredible marine ecosystem of the Ballestas Islands in Paracas with Excursions In Peru. You’ll be impressed by the large geoglyph called “The Candelabro,” a marvelous design located on the north coast of the peninsula in Paracas Bay. Later, on the Ballestas Islands, we’ll visit the famous sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and numerous species of migratory birds that inhabit this natural paradise made up of three marvelous island and islet formations.
Tourists are not allowed to disembark on these islands to avoid disturbing the animals, but boats can get close enough to enjoy their beauty.
Concluding our tour to the Ballestas Islands, we will continue to the wonderful Paracas National Reserve in our modern and comfortable vehicle. We will make four important stops: Supay Beach, the Cathedral, the Paracas Isthmus, and Red Beach.
Where our guide (Spanish and English) will tell the history of Paracas. Why is our Paracas Reserve so important? What does Paracas mean? How and what was the Paracas culture? We will observe different types of birds and learn more about our history.
TOUR BALLESTAS ISLANDS
9:00 AM You will board a glider where you will be provided with life jackets and the adventure begins.• We will skirt the coast of the Paracas Peninsula, where you will discover the mysterious geoglyph known as the Candelabra, where the guide will explain its theory.
• We will then visit a group of islands and islets with 20-30 meter rock formations, one of which is known as the Profile of Christ and the Arch of Desire.
• Resting area for birds such as zarcillos, pelicans, guanays, boobies, and more.
• You will visit the maternity area where you will see beautiful sea lions and Humboldt penguins. You will also have free time and the best angles for amazing photography.
• After 2 hours at sea, this incredible adventure ends, and we will approach the town of Paracas to continue our tour of the Paracas National Reserve.
• The Ballestas Islands tour ends at 11:10 am.
• Free time from 11:15 am – 11:45 am to walk around the town and go to the restrooms, as well as visit the craft stalls
TOUR – NATIONAL RESERVE OF PARACAS
12:00 PM we pick up all our group members. 12:15 PM we begin the tour by heading to the Cathedral, a well-known rock formation caused by sea and wind erosion that is home to various marine species. We also visit Supay Beach, where we can see the Devil’s Profile. 01:00 PM we continue the beach circuit, visiting the Isthmus and the Paracas Peninsula. You can also take creative photos taking advantage of the beauty of nature. 01:30 PM we head to Red Beach, which contains volcanic sand due to its high concentration of iron. We will follow the beach until we reach the isthmus or viewpoint for a panoramic view of this península. 02:00 PM transfer service from Red Beach to the Paracas Port Terminal. 02:30 PM return to the final cruise of our service.
