The Paracas National Reserve was created to conserve a portion of Peru’s sea and desert, protecting the diverse species of wild flora and fauna that live there.
To preserve a representative sample of the marine ecosystems of the cold sea of the Peruvian Current or Humboldt Current, considered by specialists to be the most productive on Earth, in addition to maintaining the environments used by a wide variety of migratory species for food and shelter during their long annual journeys.

Itinerary

8:50 AM Our Paracas National Reserve Shore Activities will begin with pickup from the Paracas Port Terminal. Our official tour guide will be waiting for you at the Paracas Port Terminal pier where the cruise ships arrive. He will hold a sign with your first and last name, or perhaps the name of the Excursions In Peru agency. Once he or she has located you, our official tour guide will direct you to our vehicle to begin your tour.

9:00 AM – 12:45 PM Start of the tour to the Paracas National Reserve:

We begin our tour by heading to the Red Beach viewpoint. This beach contains volcanic sand due to its high concentration of iron.
Then, we’ll walk along the beach to the Isthmus viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Paracas Peninsula and beautiful views of the ocean and desert landscape.
Continuing the beach circuit, we’ll visit Yumaque Beach, where you’ll spend a few minutes taking creative photos taking advantage of the beauty of nature. Here, you’ll also be able to appreciate marine fossil remains.
Then, we’ll head to the Cathedral viewpoint, a well-known rock formation caused by erosion by the sea and wind, home to various marine species, where you can enjoy the impressive landscapes created by nature.
Finally, our last stop is the Pink Lagoon, a body of water that turns pink due to the high concentration of salt and microorganisms. Surrounded by desert landscapes and wildlife, it’s the perfect place for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and tranquility.
