Excursions in Peru offers flight service from the “CAPITÁN FAP RENAN ELIAS OLIVERA” International Airport in Pisco Province. If you’d like to experience flying over the famous Nazca Lines, our agency will provide transfers in a modern tourist vehicle.
Our itinerary includes a transfer from the airport to the Ocucaje Valley, offering panoramic views of the mountains that hold 150-million-year-old marine fossils. You’ll also see the vast desert and agricultural landscapes.
You’ll also see the valley, mountains, and agricultural landscapes of Santa Cruz Palpa, a rural plain where the Nazca Lines are depicted, including the whale, dog, spider, albatross, hands, flower, astronaut, hummingbird, condor, pelican, tree, monkey, spiral, seaweed, parrot, and lizard.
Who made the Nazca Lines?
In the area with the greatest concentration of lines, a significant pre-Inca culture developed between 100 and 600 AD, and is credited with creating them. It is known as the Nazca culture, and its area of expansion encompassed the coastal zone of what is now the department of Ica.
